who we are
We're building a
culture of connection.
Strangers started with a simple idea: the best way to make friends as an adult is to just show up.
our story
Guyana is full of good people
who just haven't met yet.
Strangers started in Georgetown with one small get-together — a handful of people, a borrowed table, and a bet that a room of strangers could turn into a room of friends by the end of the night. It worked. So we kept doing it.
Today Strangers curates real-life experiences — picnics, dinners, beach days, trivia nights — designed to make the first hello easy and the rest of the night even easier. No agendas, no forced icebreakers. Just good company and a reason to show up.
Real, not performative
Every event is designed for actual conversation, not content. Phones down, people up.
Curated, not crowded
We keep our gatherings small and intentional so everyone actually gets to meet everyone.
Come alone, leave knowing someone
You never need a plus-one. Most of our regulars started out solo at their first event.
